About Us

Since 1965 our office has represented injured workers with their federal workers’ compensation claims before the United States Department of Labor and social security disability claims for workers who are unable to return to any form of gainful employment. In the early 1980’s our office expanded to include state workers’ compensation claims as well.
Over the years our office has grown to include not only workers’ compensation and social security disability but also legal litigation, specializing in construction accidents namely New York State Labor Law 240(1) and 241(6), statues which protect workers injured at construction job sites.
Our diverse staff enables us to communicate with our clients in English, Italian and Spanish.

At FORTUNATO & FORTUNATO, our goal is to take care of every aspect of our clients’ case. Whether it means preparing for a workers’ compensation hearing, pursuing a third-party lawsuit or applying for social security disability, we provide our clients with complete and thorough representation so that they never have to leave our office for any of their legal needs arising from their injury.

Our offices are conveniently located in downtown Brooklyn across the Street from the Kings County Supreme Court House and in Hackensack, New Jersey.

We take this opportunity to thank all of our past and current clients for allowing us to represent them and we look forward to the clients we have yet to meet.

This website is dedicated in loving memory to Ralph Fortunato, a longshore foreman on the Brooklyn waterfront in the 1930’s where he worked for over 40 years in an era where there were no laws to protect workers from the grueling and hazardous conditions which they were forced to endure. It was his dedication to the safety of his men which served as the catalyst for our firm.
