Julia I. Porper received her Bachelor of Arts from Queens College of the City of New York in 1977, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 1980. She was admitted to the New York Bar in 1981 and to the Federal Practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1988. Julia has over 15 years legal experience litigating personal injury lawsuits for insurance companies. Julia became associated with the firm in June 2001 and enjoys using her inside knowledge of how insurance companies operate to strategize against them. Julia is an active litigator at the firm specializing in both construction and motor vehicle accident cases. In addition, Julia oversees the entire Social Security Disability division at the firm and is directly responsible for our client’s social security applications, hearings and appeals. Julia is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Organization.
